The Dust Bowl (1 Jan 1930 Jahr – 1 Jan 1936 Jahr)
Beschreibung:
A natural drought (partly caused by poor farming techniques), rainless weeks were followed by strong winds. The sky blackened as topsoil was picked up by the wind (Black Blizzards). It caused thousands of people to become refugees or “Hoover tourists” and have to relocate. One of the main proponents of the starvation were farmers losing their farms due to the Dust Bowl. Worsened Great Depression.
