Randall Thompson (1 Jan 1899 Jahr – 1 Jan 1984 Jahr)
Beschreibung:
Born in NYC, he attended private school then went to Harvard before studying at the American Academy in Rome. He was appointed organist and lecturer at Wellesley College in the early 1930s, and held positions in a number of prestigious institutions throughout his career. He taught Bernstein. Some of his works are the most widely published and performed of all choral works in the twentieth century.
