Beschreibung:

A chorister and a singer in Belgium, Desprez moved to France to become a court singer and composer. Considered one of the finest composers of the early Renaissance, several other notable composers lamenting his death, and several authors of musical treatises praising him above all other composers. He is especially noted for duet-like pairing of voices and for the use of ostinatos.
