3-Great compromise (1787) (16 Jul 1787 Jahr – 16 Jul 1787 Jahr)
Beschreibung:
This compromise combined the Virginia Plan and the New Jersey Plan in which they established the U.S. legislature as a bicameral made up of two houses: the senate and the House of representatives. This was from the Virginia Plan. In the House of Representatives, representation would be based on population and this was from the Virginia plan as well. Representation would be equal in the senate (2 senators per state) and this was derived from the New Jersey Plan.
To make things even more fair, in order for a bill to be passed it has to be approved by BOTH houses of Congress
