The Kangura was a newspaper that was established in the 1990s as a response to the Rwandan Patriotic Front invasion. The newspaper was controlled by Hutu extremist, and spread hate and prejudice ideas about the Tutsis.

Because many of these newspaper entries had cartoons or pictures many children and teens could have taken interest in them and the idea that killing people is normal and right. It should also be noted that putting these anti-Tutsi ideas in young children's heads causes them to have ideas for most of their lives. These ideas can then be taught to their children and the prejudice becomes engraved in peoples minds and can become generational.
