Refugee states would claw through terran space, eventually reaching Earth, when a warlord hyperturing from Gamma Geminorum would carve out a totalitarian empire in the home systems, seeking to control the home systems of terran space. Earth would take a long time to fall, with one out of ten survivors on the planet being terminated for staging a long resistance.
