Wars of Louis XIV (1 Jan 1667 Jahr – 1 Jan 1714 Jahr)

Beschreibung:

1st war: (1667-68) For prestige militar, glory and domination. He invaded the netherlands but had to make peace because of the triple alliance (Dutch, English, Swedes).

War against the Hapsburgs: (1672-78) Louis was mad at the Dutc hso he invaded the united provinces but he had to make peace again.

3rd war: caused by the creation of the league of Augsburg (Spain, HRE, United Provinces, Sweden, England) which led to depression and famine in France and while France got some territory, it wasn't really worth it.

War of Spanish Succession: wat over the throne of spain which ended in the treaty of Utrecht and Philip V as ruler of Spain. The French and Spanish thrones were seperated though.
