Describe the impact of the second industrial revolution

After the reconstruction period (1863-1877), America underwent a Second Industrial Revolution which revolutionized America by forming more urban areas and increasing manufacturing. The economy was also A Laissez-Faire government which meant that businesses were not regulated under the government, so monopolies and rich business owners took advantage of the business industry and were very deceitful. This also meant poor working conditions for those working under monopolies and constant exploitation. Due to this workers tried resisting and fighting for their proper conditions through Labor Unions. The purpose of Labor Unions was to improve working conditions, wages, hours, and many exploitations and inhumane treatment of workers. The second industrial revolution ultimately changed American society and economy.
