Enduring Understanding: The Second Industrial Revolution caused massive economic and social gaps between groups in America. Disadvantaged communities responded by organizing and protesting against these disparities.

After the Gilded Age, the Second Industrial Revolution evolved. This came with lots of pros and cons to American society. The Second Industrial Revolution led to a lot of new technology and new mass production methods. The Assembly Line was a manufacturing process that allowed products to be made at a rapid speed. Unfortunately, this led lots of people to lose their jobs, and it affected the world environmentally. This continued to make a change between the working class and the high class, such as business workers.
