The fragmentary information of Herodotus is therefore generally good: duration of Cambyses reign of 7 years and 5 month (Herodotus would include the 4 months of Nebuchadnezzar III); Bardiya reign of 7 months (The Histories III:66-67); or a total duration of 20 months for the revolt (The Histories III:152-153).
