Social and Economic Impact of the Factory (3 Jul 1750 Jahr – 4 Nov 1900 Jahr)
Beschreibung:
Previously, many people worked in agricultural professions. As industrialization occurred, many more people moved to the city to work in factories where (in the early years) were harsh and dangerous with workers receiving little pay, working long hours etc, but the government eventually stepped in to provide more structure and requirements for workplaces (minimum wage, etc.). Labor unions also formed so that workers could protest their rights/gain fair treatment. Mass production allowed for an increase in interchangeable parts and the creation of the assembly line. Competition among factories fostered the never-ending race to make even more efficient means of production.
