The Second Vatican Council (1 Jan 1962 Jahr – 1 Jan 1963 Jahr)
Beschreibung:
The Second Vatican council seeks to nuance the Catholic Church’s doctrinal beliefs in light of modern science and the growing ecumenicalism between all forms of Christianity. The Catholic and Orthodox branches of Christianity forgive one another, abolishing the joint excommunications levied in 1054. Protestants, in turn, are declared as legitimate expressions of Christianity in the world today.
This council nuances the doctrinal beliefs due to modern science, and new forms of Christianity. The Catholic and Orthodox Churches forgive each other, and abolish both excommunications, and Protestant is declared a legitimate form of Christianity
