Declaration of Independence (6 Jan 1808 Jahr – 1 Jan 1826 Jahr)

Beschreibung:

Peru declared independence from the Spanish Crown, the 28 of July of 1821 in ‘’The Plaza mayor de Lima.’’ All this happened when the naval and land military force called ‘’the Liberating expedition’’ (created in Chile), with the objective of developing the plan of the Río de la Plata, the liberator José de San Martín, landed in Peru to proclaim independence in Lima. The aim was to dissolve the viceroyalty of Peru and replace the monarchy with a republican government. (Even with the official declaration, Spain didn’t recognise their independence until 1869.)
