Harlem Renaissance (1 Jan 1918 Jahr – 1 Jan 1939 Jahr)

Beschreibung:

During the Great Migration a cultural phenomenon formed in Harlem, Manhattan, New York City. Called the "New Negro Movement" Black Americans formed a new sense of citizenship. Music, dance, art, fashion, literature and so on thrived in Harlem and formed a new pride and a counter discourse against the stereotype of a Black American.
A passtime activity would be to go to the "Cotton Club" with a white audience.
