Irma landed in Caribbean Islands as a Category 5 storm. This was the strongest recorded hurricane in history. Housing wind speeds of 151 mph before the equipment was destroyed and gusts of 185 mph. The water was 18 inches high in some parts of Florida and the hurricane is estimated to cost $50 billion in repairs for Florida alone.
