4th Anglo-Mysore War (17 Apr 1799 Jahr – 4 Mai 1799 Jahr)

Beschreibung:

- Tipu wanted to take revenge of humiliating treaty of Seringapatam.
- The British were afraid of the closeness of Tipu Sultan with the French and wanted to either annihilate the independence of Tipu in Mysore or force him for Subsidiary Alliance

- Tipu was defeated by General Stuart and then by General Harris
- This battle was conclusive and led to fall of Seringapatam and defeat of Tipu Sultan(Marathas and Nizam's again helped British)
