the SPD aim was an ideology that social democracy, which it envisions as a societal arrangement in which freedom and social justice are paramount.making political freedom, justice and social solidarity form the basis of social democracy

this party ended by being banned and after trying to get back in the party left

the chairman at the time was Friedrich Ebert who was in his 50's until he sadily died in 1925 at the age of 54
