Beschreibung:

Critic of Deism and Empiricism. Argued that knowledge of the rationalists is more limited than assumed. Empiricism can't assume cause and effect, since it can't be seen (rather based on mental habits). Further, we perceive attributes only, not the substance of something.

Faith is believed with the absence of reason. Truth claims can only be known by emotions.
