Lydians (1 Jan 1200 Jahr v. Chr. – 1 Jan 546 Jahr v. Chr.)

Beschreibung:

Lydia was a region in western Anatolia that was positioned in the trading routes between the Mediterranean and Asia. They spoke a distinctive language said to be part of an Anatolian group of Indo-European language. Their capital was at Sardis. They had three dynasties that flourished during the Late Bronze Age. The Lydians were commercial people who were first to establish commercial shops. They were also recognized as the originators of gold and silver coins, which the Ionian Greeks immediately adopted.
