Second Athenian League (1 Jan 377 Jahr v. Chr. – 1 Jan 355 Jahr v. Chr.)

Beschreibung:

Athens united the anti-spartan aliies in the Second Athenian league. Allies were not required to pay tribute and retained autonomy in internal affairs, moreover the allies had a say in the league's forgein policies. However, Athens started to plant cleruchies (colonies of Athenian citizens) in the league's territory and the allies revolted resulting in the end of the League in 355 BC.
