Women in the United States were fighting for equal rights. After World War 2, The differences between men and women became a clearer picture. Women around the country joined Government leaders and some parts of the Union asking for equal pay, the right for maternity leave, equal opportunities for education, and many more important amendments to the constitution that guarantee equality no matter what sex.
