In the summer of 2020, Green Gang rose up from EmeraldJaguar's sea pickle monopoly but declined after the queue itself heavily declined. Semmomes was able to obtain a sea pickle while ercercerc was renovating Jungle Island around May 2021. After EmeraldJaguar was added to the NTD plot, he built a Green Gang establishment with Semmomes and he which helped revive Green Gang.
When the beetroot monopoly fell in February 2021, players were able to easily gain access to red dye for free. Unukki saw this opportunity and decided to create a group united under the color. They were able to buy a plot on July 13 and became public on the same day. The rise of both of these color gangs helped create the beginning of the Gang Wars.
The first major event in the Gang Wars was the fall of the sea pickle monopoly. Architect_Prime, a red gang member, bought sea pickles for 1500 nuggets destroying the monopoly with sea pickles becoming widespread soon after. This allowed Green Gang to attract more players as previously, the only way to obtain green dye was through EmeraldJaguar and Semmomes.
Throughout the Gang Wars, both gangs were looking to recruit as many members as possible to become the more powerful gang. At first, leaders of both groups recruited by trying to convince the other players that their gang was the better gang. However, as the war waged on, both sides claimed that they had won the war and that the other side does not exist.
On August 15, Red Gang took a step forward as they upgraded their plot to a Richfag Town plot. This meant that they now had significantly more area than Green Gang as Green Gang only took up a portion of the NTD plot while Red Gang had room to the same size as the entire NTD plot.
Red Gang, however, was beginning to decline. Antonio_le_Coq became less active, and Architect_Prime quit near the end of the war which harmed the group massively as they had been instrumental players in promoting the gang. However, the end of the war came when Unukki was banned from Master Baiters for accidentally doxxing DepressedDonut_ after trying to defend himself from grooming allegations. These allegations along with his removal from Master Baiters harmed the reputation of Red Gang ending the Gang Wars.
