During his membership in the Dominican Friary of Cortana, Fra Angelico produced mostly frescoes- which have been all destroyed- and may have assisted or followed Gherardo Starnina. Gherardo Starnina was a painter from Florence who primarily produced frescoes in Spain. His influence is that of the Late Gothic era and his frescoes reflect his interest in depicting three-dimensional figures. This is important to note because of Fra Angelico's fresco-abundant compositions and his stylistic choices. There are no certain dates of Fra Angelico's Dominican Friary membership.
