Other Information: He developed an elaborate country estate in the Warwick Neck section of Warwick, Rhode Island. The estate is now known as the Aldrich Mansion and is owned by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rhode Island.

His work on the Aldrich-Vreeland Currency Act of 1908 and his chairmanship of the National Monetary Commission (1908–12) helped prepare the way for the Federal Reserve Act of 1913.
