As the involvement of the United States became more impactful, the North Vietnamese attacked over 100 cities and checkpoints, thought South Vietnam. They performed these attacks hoping to cause chaos in the south and to push the forming of rebellions. In the end, the United States, with the help of the South Vietnamese, defended well, but they covered the attacks on the US news, which led to cuts in support for the war.

The Ted Offensive had a major impact on the war. The offensive events led the US to slowly back out from the war. Which was a massive victory for the North Vietnamese.
