Beschreibung:

The column slept on May 13 at Dabanga,

(1) 36 kilometers south-east of Karoub, on the other side of the mountain range which defends the access to Sila to the west.

The mounted company reached the western entrance to the Boroko pass at 9 am, walked through it without encountering any resistance, and emerged to the south-east, in sight of the village of Boroko, at 9 am. Boroko camp was raised on May 16 at 4 a.m. It had rained all night, and, the sky being very cloudy, the column could not start until five o'clock for Soukdjemala (14 kilometers). A meeting with the Sultan's organized forces could not but be imminent.

Goz Beida was captured on 17 May.
