“Bleeding Kansas” was when people from the south and north came to Kansas to try and turn the votes in their favor to have Kansas as either a free or slave state. It wasn’t just verbal fighting however, murders and violent protesting took face. This was a result from the Kansas-Nebraska act which was to let the two states of Kansas and Nebraska vote on if the state would be free of slavery or not.
