Dissolution of Monasteries (1 Jan 1524 Jahr – 1 Jan 1548 Jahr)

King Henry became even more emboldened and decided to get rid of all vestiges of Rome and any old Culture. He dissolved ALL monasteries and Chantries. Did away with all relics and statutes of saints, stripped lead from roofs and bell towers. This was a HUGE redistribution of wealth and effected the everyday practice of religion tremendously.
from 1524-1540 all monasteries were done away with. By 1548 all chantries were done away with.
