Date: June 15 - July 2, 1767

These four acts imposed taxes on glass, lead paper, paints, and teas imported into the colonies. Many Americans viewed this taxation as an abuse of power resulting in the passage of agreements to limit the imports from Britain.
In 1770, the Parliament repealed these acts, with the exception of the tax on tea, which led to a temporary truce between the two sides.
