The second 3 and a half years called the Great Tribulations and far worse than the first set


the 10 plagues of Egypt are types of the plagues that will happen again BEFORE Christ delivers his people again.

God uses NATURAL disasters and phenomena to bring about his plagues.

It has been thought that a volcanic eruption on the island of Santorini in 1600BC was the cause of the 10 plagues.

The wind was blowing in that direction (from North West) over the med and to the Nile Delta (Egypt)
Ash has been discovered in Egypt that matches that of the volcanic eruption on Santorini

Could God use a similar volcanic eruption to start 10 plages?


10 Plagues
1. River turns to Blood Ex7:17-18 (1991 North Carolina: billions of dead fish have turned water to blood before)
2. Frogs Ex 8:3-4 (Leaving the blood water)
3. Lice (Gnats) Ex 8:17 (Decomposing Frogs)
4. Flies Ex 8:21,24 (Decomposing Frogs)
5. Death of Cattle Ex 9:3-6 (as a result of contaminated water)
6. Boils Ex 9:10-11 (Infection from fly bites)
Pestilence Ex 9:15 (Fatal Epidemic)
7. Fire & Hail Ex 9:22-25 (Maybe the effects of the volano? Destroys trees, fruit and grain
8. Locusts Ex 10:12-15 (Locusts could be driven out of the deserts because of drought
9. Darkness Ex10:21-23 (Ash from the volcanic eruption. Santorini Eruption was 100 times more powerful than Pompeii)
10. Death of the firstborn Ex11:5-6 (Hard to tie in this plague from the last 9 as a result of the volcano) not enough details - could have been cultural that first born touched the dead cattle...or ate something.





Last Days
It will be the two witnesses that will bring down the plagues of the last days.
