Beschreibung:
The International Space Station represents how far space exploration has advanced in the past 60 years. It is yet another great marker of where we have came from and where we are going in Space.
The ISS is very cool for multiple reasons. First is how it was built. The ISS could not be constructed all at once like a house is. Instead, smaller portions of the build, called modules, were sent up individually with the Shuttles. The modules each have a very specific purpose, and are crammed with equipment to run the station, keep the crew healthy and safe, and do science! Living in space is much more efficient, because all four walls can be utilized, allowing for more stuff in less space.
The ISS is also cool, and important, because it supports global co-operation and collaboration in space exploration. With modules from Russia, the U.S., Europe, Japan, and technologies like the Canadarm2 from many more, the space station has become a symbol of Unity(also the name of the first U.S. module) in a common goal. Exploring the Universe.
As the ISS's prime comes to an end, I am very excited to see what the future in space holds.
