Partition Sejm (1 Jan 1773 Jahr – 1 Jan 1775 Jahr)

Beschreibung:

Convened by foreign forces to legitimise the first partition of Poland.

A group of deputees lead by Tadeusz Reytan tried to stop the ratification of the partitioning treaty, to no avail.

Reytan famously blocked the entrance to the parliament hall with his body, but the deputees entered using a side door. Subsequently, Reytan went mad and committed suicide.
