Florence was a big part of the Italian Renaissance. It’s a city in Italy were the Renaissance began. Another reason Florence was important was because it was a major trading city in Italy at the time. It was mainly known for their trading of wool. It also was home to well know people such as Leonardo Da Vinci.​
