His redistribution of capital to state banks from a centralized bank eventually would be one of the causes for the panic of 1819. Even though Henry Clay saw this coming and passed the 2nd BUS as a preventative measure. This would only cause the 2nd BUS which was fraught with corruption to become the scapegoat Jackson takes his anger out on.
