Jacobin Rule: Reign of Terror (5 Sept 1793 Jahr – 28 Jul 1794 Jahr)

The Committee for Public Safety made revolutionary tribunals that were responsible for arresting and executing thousands of counter-revolutionists, or royalists. The highly influential leader of the Committee for Public Safety, Maximilien Robespierre, was very radical, and encouraged a government system that used terror to invoke fear in its subjects to gain control and power. This period was called the Reign of Terror. This was important because it showed the destructive state of France at the time, which would urge people to start making changes to recover the peace and order to France.
