Northern Renaissance (1 Jan 1450 Jahr – 22 Dez 1648 Jahr)

This time period shared much in common with the original renaissance but it also showed many different things. Just as the original Renaissance was known as the rebirth and art flourished the difference between the art in the northern renaissance showed religion in there art. The northern renaissance art showed powerful and influential changes, impossible representation disparate much from Italian. Such as Jan Van Eyeks work.
Other things that happened in the north during this time period was the
1- invention of the printing press.
2- Formation of merchant class of arts patrons that purchased works in oil panels.
3-Protestant reformation and the translation of bible from original languages such as vernacular, German and french.
4-International trade in urban centers.
