Japanese occupation of China Second United Front Second Sino-Japanese War (7 Jul 1937 Jahr – 1 Sept 1945 Jahr)

- Japan launched full scale attack on China (already in possession of Manchuria (Manchukuo) )

- Second United Front created between CCP and GMD to fight the Japanese occupation

- Hyperinflation due to the occupation of China's main financial/industrial cities

- Large scale killing, looting, rape, and destruction of property throughout war

- Military equipment lacked by the Chinese army

- Red Army engaged in guerrilla tactics to battle Japanese (destroyed roads, bridges, airfields, warehouses, etc.)

- Red Army spread communist ideology and enlisted people to the cause (through their well-treatment of citizens through the "Three Rules and Eight Points of Behaviour")

- CCP expanded their area of control towards the north, as the NRA was occupied fighting the war and couldn't defend it

- Towards the end the CCP implemented more land reforms and promised a peaceful and unified China (spread ideology)

- NRA implemented plans which were harmful to the population; flooding the Yangtze River (killing several hundred thousands), and using scorched earth policy

- The actions of the Japanese committed throughout the war blamed on the GMD for their inability to stop them

- Reputation of NRA worsened as they did not have a code of conduct and looted and raped the Chinese
