Weimar Republic (6 Feb 1919 Jahr – 1 Jan 1933 Jahr)

After WWI Germany’s government changed dramatically after the abdication of Kaiser Wilhelm II as they decided upon a republic nation ruled by the president (7 year term), chancellor and parliament. The Social Democrat party refused to join the government or help in the great depression. Riots and uprisings occurred due to the resentment towards the government for signing the treaty. Although freedom was enabled, hyperinflation was still high, and the main parts of Germany were patrolled by French and Belgian troops. This all ended when Hitler was appointed chancellor and ended the Weimar Republic as he rose higher into power.
