With the help of the Aztecs’ native rival, the Cortes started a battle against Tenochtitlan, which resulted in them finally defeating Cuauhtémoc’s resistance on the 13th of August in 1521. Around 240,00 people were thought to be dead that day in the city’s conquering which ended the Aztec civilization.
