The Great Depression (1 Aug 1929 Jahr – 1 März 1933 Jahr)

The Great Depression was a huge economic decline for the industrial world. It began with the stock market crash in October of 1929 and the Great Depression lasted about 10 years.

Causes:
1 - The stock market crash.

2 - World War 1 cause many men to leave their homes to fight for their country. This aloud women to step up and take their jobs temporarily. However when the men returned a lot of them suffered from P.T.S.D or had missing limbs. They were not able to work to the best of their ability, and because of this lots of men lost their jobs.

Effects:
1 - The stock market crash led to about 25% of Americans being unemployed. Millions upon millions lost jobs and it also caused a 65% drop in world trade.

2 - The Great Depression was one of the leading factors to Hitlers vote into power in Germany.
