A year of disaster for life on Earth. Over the course of a year, day by day, different forms of technology got lost. The planet reshaped itself; tectonic plates shifted, land appeared and disappeared, new lifeforms appeared, whereas other lifeforms were lost over time. Modern life could no longer sustain itself and society collapsed within weeks. The survivors of the sentient beings were thrown back to ancient ages, in a world full of new resources, yet lacking the tools to obtain them.
