Beschreibung:

-The Progressive era was to address many problems caused by industrialization. It was created by the middle class, the middle class wanted clean up the cities and workplace, there was other people who wanted more than to make the cities look good.
-"Muckrakers" wrote to target corrupt officials, companies, and the conditions of the cities. The goal of the Progressive era was Social Reforms, political reforms, and Regulation of business. Some people that wanted to get straight to the facts was Jacob Riis, Ida Tarbell, Upton Sinclair and other writers.
-Another thing for the Progressive Era is the political machines, they created the secret ballots, but they influenced the voter by intimidation, blackmailing, and potential vote buying, so it caused many others to vote.
