The French and Indian War was a conflict between the British Colonies and the French. When the French encroached on the Colonies's land claim a conflict began. Different Native American tribes took different sides. This war was bad for Britain and its colonies because it greatly increased their debt. The British taxed the colonies to make up for the debt, and this taxation ended up causing the American Revolution. (exact dates unknown)
