Third Crusade (12 Jan 1189 Jahr – 14 Jan 1192 Jahr)

Beschreibung:

Started in response to the Muslim capture of Jerusalem. Features famous European fighters like Richard "Lionheart" of England and Philip II of France. Ultimately fail in taking back Jerusalem, and actually lose coastal land and principalities. Lionheart tries to have a royal marriage w/ Salah al-Din to jointly control Jerusalem, but is denied.

Results of Crusades:
Sparks trade between Europe (primarily Italy) and the Islamic world, which sees the west get sugarcane, silk, and spices.
