Development of Mercantilism (1 Jan 1701 Jahr – 1 Jan 1750 Jahr)
Beschreibung:
Mercantilism is an economic policy in which nations put greater emphasis on how much physical gold and/or silver they have in their treasury in which they can then base a wealth of a nation off of. This policy displayed continuity over time as even as far back as the earliest Spanish conquistadors mercantilism was being enforced by governments. One change from previous eras was the degrees to which mother countries such as Great Britain held control over the trade of their colonies and subjects. The Navigation Acts as will be discussed later are the pinacle of the Mercantilistic developments.
