The Australopithecus Afarensis:
1) were the first creatures to walk on two legs
2) lived when Africa was still partially rainforest
3) were still able to climb trees
Australopithecus Afarensis were the first hominids to be found with legs and spines that suggested the ability to walk on two legs. Below you will find a picture of a almost complete Australopithecus Afarensis skeleton.
