Ramses II was famous for being the most powerful pharaoh in egyptian history.Pharaoh Ramses II ruled from about 1290 B.C.E to 1224 B.C.E.. He ruled during the New Kingdom. Ramses II had more than 100 wives and more than 100 children. At the age 10 he was a captain of the Egyptian army.
