Basketball was first played with leather soccer ball. This is how it all started for the most part and first leather ball which now a days will still use leather balls however it is composite leather.First ever actual basketball used specifically for it, it was a leather ball held together will laces and was not dribbled. This was odd because they used laces like a football and was not like the balls today with bigger circumference than balls today.Basketball was invented and they used a normal soccer ball. This started it all and gave kids a passion and sport to play in the winter.made panels of the ball more visible like the black lines on basketballs today. This was for just play not competative games but it made it easier to whcih made dunkers gravitate towards itIn Slovenia "Water Basketball" was made a port which used a ball made of synthetics and plastics.
