the area may not change its ideals to that of a more american way. And may instead
continue to practise methods that many in america would consider unconstitutional.

These TNC's will then exploit the poorer countries they are located in for the
benefit of the host country.
.Cultural DiffusionThe US has successfully used TNC's to exert a level of cultural control over countries.
These TNC's have glorified the 'American Way'. Insisting that this is the correct way to
live, because of this, other countries invest into lifestyle choices to mimic this.Perioden

Intergovernmental Organisations such as the IMF (international monetary fund) and the
world bank have allowed the US to have a somewhat disproportionate say in the global
macro politics.
This is due to both organisations running on a 'Dollar Vote' system. Your contribute more,
you get a greater say. The US currently contributes the most meaning they hold 17% of the

With the rise of China, many would argue that China contributes the same, if note more than
the US to Intergovernmental organisations. However, due to China being regarded as still a
closed door nation, many would dimsiss this.1945- Present Day IMF

As we know, the way TNC's usually operate in foreign countries is that profit is maximised
and expenses are minimised. This can lead to human rights violations, and local

The US, now no longer restricted by the Uk becomes a major hub for scientific discoveries such as the
light bulb and the ford automobile.Economic Expansion
The US becomes a major exporter of products such as timber and cotton. This massively helps the
nation become and economic powerhouse.
