Fort Sumter
The first fight took place at the Fort Sumter. Lincoln avoided the threats in the South. The fight started out with the South saying we want slavery.Emancipation Proclamation
The Proclamation promised to free all slaves to be free. Soon slaves were given their freedom in 1863. Lincoln did not want slavery to exsist.Battle of Gettysburg
The union wanted to make everything peace and attacking camps. The South thought it was possible to go forward. Lee had to retreat because he was out of men.Vicksburg
